The Shafer Gallery will host an opening reception for its “Collector’s Edition” exhibit from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. June 13 in the Gallery and will feature light refreshments and a gallery talk.

Barton Community College will no longer receive the federal grant that has supported the Retired and Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP), a vital service for older adults across the region, for nearly five decades.
Developmental education at Barton provides students with an opportunity to improve their basic math, reading, and/or writing skills.
Barton continually updates courses in the developmental program to develop more efficient instructional methods to help students achieve college-readiness and to decrease the cost to students in time and in money.

Barton Community College will be closed May 26 for Memorial Day. The college is now on summer hours. Office hours are 7:30 a.m. – 5 p.m. Monday through Thursday. The college will be closed on Fridays through July 25.
