Barton Community College’s Theatre Department has selected six original 10-minute plays for its first High School Playwrights Festival, highlighting the work of area high school writers.

Sophomore business major at Barton Community College, Maverick Munden of Larned has hit his stride academically on The Hill and is pursuing his dream of climbing the ranks of the finance world so he can enjoy a life of fiscal stability.

Barton Community College will be closed April 3 and April 6 for Easter break. Barton's Center for Adult Education and the Shafer Art Gallery will also be closed. The college's regular class schedule and office hours will resume April 7.
